myJING is a free I Ching / Yi Jing reader available on the web and as an iOS and Android app. This policy explains exactly what happens to information when you use it. It is written to be read, not to hide anything.
Everything you create in myJING is stored locally on your own device (in your browser's local storage, or the app's local storage) and is never transmitted to us or anyone else:
Because this data lives only on your device, you are always in control of it: clearing the app's data (or your browser's site data for myjing.app) erases it permanently. We cannot see it, recover it, or delete it for you — we never have a copy.
To understand roughly how many people use myJING and which features are used, we use GoatCounter, a privacy-first analytics service. It records aggregate, anonymous counts — page views and simple event names such as "cast" or "share". It does not use cookies, does not store your IP address, does not build a profile of you, and does not track you across other sites. The contents of your readings and questions are never included.
All fonts and images are served directly by myJING (bundled with the app / hosted on our own domain). Unlike many websites, we do not load fonts from Google or any other third party, so no request about you is sent to them. The only external service myJING contacts is the anonymous visitor counter described above.
If you save a timing date, the app can schedule a local reminder for the morning of that date. These notifications are created and stored on your device by the operating system — they are not sent through any server, and we do not see them. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.
myJING is suitable for a general audience. It does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.
Since all of your personal data lives on your own device and we hold none of it, you can access, export (via the in-app share/copy features) or permanently delete it yourself at any time by clearing the app's data.
